Mounted Pictures.
There is a change taking place in the photographic club/exhibition world with regard to the maximum size of mounts. The old size was 20ins x 16ins maximum the new is 500mm x 400mm maximum. It's only about 6mm (1/4ins) smaller either way but most exhibitions will not accept images if still 20ins x 16ins. The society has advised members of this change, so any member who submits to an internal competition can if they wish submit it to an outside exhibition without remounting it. The Society's rules state the maximum mount size permitted in our internal competitions, you can mount your pictures in what ever size mounts you wish up to the maximum, but I think that most members agree and do use the maximum as a matter of course, as whatever size picture is mounted on the mount from small, approx 7 x 5 pictures to full A3 the larger maximum mount helps to show them off to their best.
Keith will have precut 500 x 400 white core conservation mount board for sale from the first meeting onwards. He will also cut windows to the size you require (small charge), this will be a 1 week turnaround from one meeting to the next.

Each member if they wish can have their own web gallery page, to showcase their work and it can carry a maximum of 16 images. If you wish to have a page or have images to update your page please email them to Keith (email address on the contacts page or current programme). Send them as Jpegs, titled and sized a maximum 480 pixels x 360 pixels at 96dpi.
