About Us.

For the 20010 / 11 season Ross Camera Club meets from 8th September till 6th April the following year, once a week on a Wednesday evening, taking the photographic doldrums out of the winter months. Throughout the season's programme, we have guest speakers covering as many different aspects of photography as possible. Also a number of members' evenings where we all enjoy seeing what various members get up to, this usually sparks off questions and a lively discussion, as we all have different ways of doing things. There are 6 internal competitions, where members that wish, submit a number of pictures. On the competition evening an outside judge goes through the pictures, and gives constructive comments and awards the winners. This may sound very competitive, but it's run to be very lighthearted. There are a number of members who actively submit to local, national and international exhibitions. Where possible, and if enough members wish to, the society submits as a group. Should you have any accepted and go along to the exhibition it's quite a buzz to see your picture exhibited. When possible outside events are organised, day trips, workshops and seminars. We are not a direct teaching society but should you join and get stuck with something there is sure to be a member who has had the same problem and is willing to help point you in the right direction.
As you can see it is a very active society and all have a love of taking pictures!

We meet at

Ross Conservative Club, Hillsborough, The Avenue, Ross-on-Wye, HR9 5AW

And start at 7.30pm prompt.

New members are always welcome.

New members who have come to us from other clubs have often said how welcome they were made and quickly felt part of the society. It was mentioned by a recent new member "this is more like a social group who all happen to like photography"!

Now, what does it cost?

Membership is £20 for the season (reduced if you join mid season) plus £1 per evening you attend (includes tea/coffee and biscuits). Not a bad deal!
